First Data is the largest merchant acquirer, issuer processor, and independent network services provider in the world, enabling businesses to accept electronic payments, helping financial institutions issue credit, debit and prepaid cards, and routing secure transactions between them.
In 2014, FDC processed 74 billion transactions globally, or over 2,300 per second, and processed 28% of the world’s eCommerce volume. In the largest market, the United States, FDC acquired $1.7 trillion of payment volume, accounting for nearly 10% of U.S. GDP last year.

Adesto Technologies (Nasdaq: IOTS)
Adestor is a leading provider of application-specific, feature-rich, ultra-low power non-volatile memory products. It offers non-volatile memory products for the Internet of Things, or IoT, with applications including current and next-generation Internet-connected devices in the consumer, industrial, medical and wearables markets.
Shares to be outstanding post IPO: 13,944,621
Price range: $10.00 – $12.00 – Pricing scheduled for Thursday night, trading Friday.
American Farmland Company (Nasdaq: AFCO)
American Farmland is an internally managed real estate company that owns a diversified portfolio of high-quality farmland, consisting of mature permanent, specialty/vegetable row and commodity row crop farms, as well as farmland development projects that are located in select major agricultural regions in the United States.
Shares to be outstanding post IPO: 22,890,846 shares and 3,685,510 Common Units
Price range: $8.50 – $10.50 – Pricing scheduled for Thursday night, trading Friday.
Strongbridge Biopharma (Nasdaq: SBBP)
Dual listing. Biopharmaceutical company focused on the development, in-licensing, acquisition and eventual commercialization of multiple complimentary products and product candidates within franchises that target rare diseases.
Strongbridge’s primary focus has been to build a rare endocrine franchise, which includes product candidates for the treatment of endogenous Cushing’s syndrome and acromegaly, two rare diseases with a high unmet need for innovative treatment options
Shares to be outstanding post IPO: 22,955,382
Price range: $17.00 – $18.00 – Pricing scheduled: Day to day.
IPOs offer a lot of opportunities but also come with their own set of risks. As well, they are generally riskier than stocks that come with a long history as a public company. One should expect very wide trading ranges, lower liquidity and much higher volatility from IPOs than the rest of the market. Investors must always factor this into their assessment before trading or investing in IPOs.
