Another month is upon us so it’s a good time to check in on what’s been happening in the ETF space of the markets. In our June monthly ETF trends review video, I talk about some important ETFs to monitor within the context of current ongoing trends (and new trends) in the markets. Investors will want to stay on top of these themes as we head into the summer months.
Some key ETF trends to watch this month revolve around large and small cap stocks, international stocks, interest rates, bonds, and select commodities.
The S&P 500 ETF (SPY), which represents large cap stocks, has been treading in a tight range finding resistance each time it nears all time highs. Once again, investors are patiently awaiting some clarity. But the backdrop of global central banks, spotty growth, and volatile interest rates that have been stair stepping higher may keep the markets choppy. In the following video, we will discuss some key price areas to monitor on the S&P 500 ETF (SPY), as well as the global equities space in the context of the aforementioned murky global growth and higher interest rates setting. We will also look at commodities via the PowerShares DB Commodity Index (DBC).
Hope you find some value in our monthly ETF trends and chart review video. Thanks for watching.
